Meet Bao Bao 🐾

We were a young couple in college when we adopted Bao Bao, and honestly… we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. 😂
Bao Bao was incredibly loving, but he was also FULL of energy. That’s when we discovered an important truth: beagle destruction is very, very real. Shoes? Gone. Furniture? Not safe. Sheetrock? Apparently, also delicious. 😂 There was pretty much nothing in the house that went untouched.
But somewhere between the chaos, the chewed-up belongings, and wondering “What did he get into now?”, Bao Bao taught us something much more important.
He taught us what it means to be loved unconditionally.
For years, Bao Bao was our heart. He was there through so many chapters of our lives, and even though he left behind a trail of destruction along the way, he also left behind a lifetime of memories and love.
We are so grateful that our younger selves took that leap and brought him home.
Bao Bao was our first beagle, our first great adventure, and the beginning of a love for this wonderfully crazy breed that never left us. ❤️🐶
Meet Milo 🐾
Milo • 2022
After Bao Bao passed, we spent years wondering if we had the time, energy, and heart to start the journey with another dog.
When Bao Bao left us, I had just welcomed our second child, and honestly, I wasn't sure I was ready. Losing him had left such a big hole in our hearts that the thought of starting over felt overwhelming.
Then a friend sent us a post about a litter of beagle puppies at a rescue and suggested we go meet them.
So, of course, we went to “just see.” 😂
And then I held Milo.
He was a shy, little puppy who seemed so scared, and all I wanted to do was comfort him. Needless to say, once Milo was in my lap, the rest was history. ❤️
We somehow got incredibly lucky with this one. Milo grew into the sweetest, most mellow little guy—and, unbelievably, he barely uses his voice! 😂 (What are the odds of getting a quiet beagle?!)
Unlike Bao Bao, Milo has shown absolutely no interest in destroying our house. Instead, he's perfectly happy lounging around, following us from room to room, and being the gentle, sweet presence he is.
Our family feels incredibly lucky that Milo found his way to us.
And now, after being given the gift of two wonderful beagles, we want to help other beagles find what Bao Bao and Milo found with us:
a loving family to call home. 🐾❤️
